bacon wrapped scallops

decadent, but so sinfully easy

ingredients

6 very large sea scallops
1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
1 garlic clove, crushed
12 slices bacon, halved

flavor burst 1 drop ginger vitality essential oil

24 toothpicks and a few sprigs of dill for garnish


Preparation
Heat a slotted broiler pan in a preheated 450° F. oven. 

Pat scallops dry and quarter them.

Combine the vinegar, sugar, garlic, and ginger essential oil. Marinate the scallops 10 minutes.

Arrange the bacon slices flat. On each half-slice of bacon, top with a scallop quarter and wrap with the bacon, securing with a toothpick. Place scallops on sides, exposed side facing out.

Back 10 minutes, turning once.
