candied pecans

keep these stocked in your pantry for topping pancakes, yogurt, salad, vegetable side dishes, desserts – or just a great snack!

2 lbs pecans (mix in walnuts, if you prefer)
2 tsp molasses
2 cups brown sugar or coconut sugar
2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp cloves, ground
1/4 cup water

flavor burst 1 drop ginger vitality essential oil

Preheat oven to 200° F. Place a layer of foil with non-stick spray on a baking sheet.

Mix all ingredients except pecans in a large mixing bowl. Toss in pecans.

Place coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 1 hour, turning with a spatula every 20 minutes.

Cool completely. Store in airtight containers.
