Oh My Goodness Gouda Dip

ingredients

3 thin slices of bacon
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 cup 2% milk
3/4 cup ale (or other dark beer)
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 cups smoked Gouda, grated

flavor burst 1 drop black pepper vitality essential oil


Preparation
Chop the bacon into small pieces. Cook in a large skillet over medium heat until brown and crispy. Remove to a paper towel and set aside.

In the pan with the bacon fat, add the flour and stir for 2 minutes on medium heat. Slowly whisk in the milk and beer. Next, add the mustard and sauce.

Turn the heat up to medium-high and continue whisking until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

Add the cheese 1/2 cup at a time, making sure it has melted before adding more. Continue whisking until the cheese is melted.

Season with salt (optional) and black pepper vitality essential oil.
Serve immediately or keep warm in a small crockpot. Serve with pretzels, crackers or your favorite toasted bread.
